Who is the data controller?

The data controller is Juris Demidovs, a self-employed individual providing automotive electronics services as DemiDrive in Jelgava, Latvia. You can send personal data questions and requests via WhatsApp or contact +371 27 701 402.

What information is processed?

When enquiring or arranging work, you may provide your name, telephone number, email, messages and vehicle details: make, model, year, registration number, VIN and mileage. Job records may include the work description, appointment time, price, payment method and work-related notes.

To operate the website, the hosting provider may process IP addresses, request times, browser information and error logs. The private admin area uses authentication data and necessary session cookies.

Purposes and legal bases

Responding to enquiries, arranging work and providing services rely on steps before entering into a contract and performance of a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Accounting information is processed to meet legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)).

Website security, fixing technical errors and defending justified claims rely on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). Loading the optional Google map relies on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). We do not use automated decision-making or profiling with legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Who may receive information?

Vercel provides website hosting; Supabase provides the database and admin authentication. Information is accessible to the service provider and, where necessary, technical providers; competent authorities may receive it where required by law.

Opening WhatsApp or Google Maps takes you to the respective service. These services also process information under their own privacy policies. The Google map is not loaded automatically.

External services may involve processing outside the EEA. Where such transfers take place, GDPR transfer mechanisms apply, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. You can ask the controller about specific recipients and safeguards.

How long is information kept?

Messages and job records are kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry, provide the service and resolve work-related questions or claims. Accounting documents are subject to statutory retention duties. The specific period depends on the document and applicable obligation; you can ask the controller about retention of your information.

Technical log retention depends on the service configuration and security needs. Cookie information is set out in the separate cookie policy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you may request access, correction, erasure or restriction of processing, and portability where applicable. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

You can close the Google map using its button. This stops the embedded service on the page; Google cookies already stored must be removed in browser settings. Send requests to Juris Demidovs by the telephone or WhatsApp contact provided. Responses are usually provided within one month; rights are subject to GDPR conditions. You may complain to Latvia’s Datu valsts inspekcija (dvi.gov.lv).

Required information and public photographs

Contact and vehicle details are needed to arrange and carry out work. Without them, it may not be possible to provide the service. Browsing the website does not require a customer account.

Gallery photographs are public. If a person or your vehicle registration is identifiable in a photograph and you wish to ask about the basis for publication or request removal, contact the controller.
